Disney lends out the vault — and takes the output back
Disney and TikTok struck a first-of-its-kind global content-sharing deal: opted-in creators get licensed access to assets from hundreds of films and series across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and FX, and the videos they make live in two places — on TikTok and inside Verts, the vertical feed Disney+ launched in March. A Creator Ambassador Program formalizes the pipeline. The US pilot lands first, with other markets to follow.
Why it matters: The scarce asset in vertical is continuous supply. Disney just found a way to rent it from its own audience and keep the fandom loop closed inside its app.
